Empowering women, empowering India: Hamari Pahchan NGO mission of change.

Women are the creators of life and have long been revered as goddesses in our country. Yet, despite this cultural reverence, much more needs to be done to ensure real progress. Empowerment must reach every citizen, and especially women, who continue to face numerous challenges. One organization that is working tirelessly toward this mission is Hamari Pahchan NGO, widely recognized as the best NGO in Delhi. It is actively working at the grassroots level through various impactful initiatives to uplift women.

Women in India often face socio-economic challenges such as lack of education, domestic violence, and deep-rooted social taboos. Hamari Pahchan NGO addresses these issues through focused efforts in skill development, health awareness, and education. Empowering women not only transforms individual lives but also uplifts families and strengthens entire communities.

One of the NGO’s flagship projects, “Sukhad,” focuses on promoting menstrual hygiene by distributing sanitary products in under-resourced areas. This initiative aims to break taboos around menstruation and help women lead healthier, more dignified lives.

Hamari Pahchan also runs a variety of skills training programs—including handicraft-making, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship development. These efforts help women gain financial independence, boosting their self-esteem and contributing to their family income.

Additionally, the organization raises awareness about women’s legal rights, particularly related to domestic violence, harassment, and dowry. Free legal aid, counseling, and rehabilitation services are provided to help women live with dignity and self-respect. Thousands of women have benefited from these programs, gaining the confidence and resources to lead empowered lives.

As a Social Entrepreneur Intern with Hamari Pahchan, I have witnessed how the organization creates meaningful social work opportunities across India. Through its virtual programs, volunteers and interns can contribute to real change from anywhere in the country.

Registered in 2015, Hamari Pahchan has already impacted thousands of lives. It is not just an NGO—it is a movement, providing uplifting support to marginalized individuals and building a more inclusive and empowered society.
